After much conversation and planning within the neighborhood and your HOA, our contract with Alabama Power Company to install our streetlights has been finalized.
This project was made possible and affordable with the previous installation of underground electrical utilities. Installation was supposed to begin later this week, but actually started today. The spring break holiday and some unexpected health issues got us behind on our communication plans, so apologies for that.
The ~30 poles have been marked with stakes for your reference. The HOA will pay for the utility costs out of the general fund, and while no dues increase is necessary immediately, annual dues remaining at $50 is not expected. Annual dues will likely settle in the +/- $100/yr range. As a point of reference, they were at $75/year as recently as a few years ago and are consistently monitored with projected expenses and our cash reserves position.
